Oscar’s Walk of Fame

Only 15 days more until the 81st Oscars goes LIVE. As much as I love the films and the actors, my favorite would have to be the red carpet drama where the ‘oscar hopefuls’ get all dolled-up and do a subtle red carpet walkathon/showdown. As a warm-up to the fashionable walk of fame, let’s relive some of the best red carpet moments  (in no particular order):

1. Julia Roberts in vintage valentino in 2001

2. Katherine Heigl in a beautiful red Escada column gown 2008

3. Cate Blanchett’s effortlessly sexy Galliano number 1999

6. Halle Berry’s unforgettable sheer dress with equally memorable acceptance speech of 2008

7.  Uma Thurman in her Christian Lacroix ethereal dress 2004 – which most will argue as a big fashion mistake is something I find strangely appealing and unique

Can’t wait to see who’s wearing what come Oscar night. You know what they say, in 10 years everyone would have forgotten who won what, but everyone will remember who wore it best from that night. I couldn’t agree more. Win or lose it’s the dress you choose.
